Core Concepts

AI Search

AI Search refers to algorithms and methods that enable artificial intelligence systems to find solutions by systematically exploring possible actions to reach a desired goal or state.

AI search algorithms work by examining different paths through a problem space, evaluating options, and selecting the most promising routes to a solution. These methods can be categorised into informed search (using heuristics) and uninformed search (systematic exploration without additional information).

The search process involves defining initial states, goal states, and the rules for moving between states. Modern AI search techniques incorporate various strategies like heuristic evaluation, pruning of unlikely paths, and learning from previous searches to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
