Core Concepts

Agentic AI

Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence systems that can act independently to achieve specific goals, make decisions, and take actions on behalf of users or organisations without constant human oversight.

Agentic AI systems are designed with the ability to perceive their environment, process information, and execute actions autonomously to accomplish defined objectives. These systems utilise advanced AI capabilities like natural language processing, decision-making algorithms, and learning mechanisms to understand context and determine appropriate responses.

Unlike more passive AI systems that simply respond to direct commands, agentic AI demonstrates a degree of autonomy in pursuing goals and adapting to changing circumstances. This capability allows them to handle complex tasks, engage in meaningful interactions, and even collaborate with humans or other AI systems while maintaining focus on their primary objectives.
